Specific duties of this entry-level position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • assisting with audit planning
  • interviewing agency officials and others
  • reviewing agency records
  • conducting analyses using various software and analytical techniques
  • testing and sampling agency data
  • assembling, synthesizing, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative information to answer defined objectives
  • assisting with writing audit reports

Required and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. Preferred qualifications include:
  • a degree in business or public administration, economics, mathematics, political science, or other relevant discipline
  • a graduate degree
  • six months to two years’ experience in an organizational setting
  • experience in auditing or program evaluation

Conditions of Employment
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an agency security clearance and pass a fingerprint-based criminal history background check. The candidate also must relocate near the Topeka, Kansas area.
